Four stages, from first call to signature.

Every engagement follows the same path. How long each stage takes depends on the deal, but the order does not change.

  1. Assess

We start with a conversation about the deal you want: what it is worth, who is involved and what has happened so far. We then give you a candid view of whether it can be won and what it would take. If we are not the right fit, we say so.

    You get

    • A candid view of the deal
    • A proposed scope of work
    • A draft engagement agreement with fee terms
  2. Originate

With the scope agreed, we build the list of counterparties and approach them directly. Every conversation is qualified for intent and authority before it reaches you. If the counterparty is already identified, this stage is short and we move straight to shaping the deal.

    You get

    • A target list with rationale
    • Qualified introductions
    • Notes and a recommended next step for each
  3. Negotiate

We prepare your positions, plan concessions and manage the exchange of proposals. We join the meetings, keep a written record of what has been agreed and what is still open, and keep both sides moving toward a decision.

    You get

    • A negotiation brief
    • A running record of agreed and open points
    • Agreed commercial terms
  4. Close

Agreed terms still have to become a signed document. We work with your lawyers and finance team, chase outstanding items on both sides and stay involved until signature. The success fee is earned at this point.

    You get

    • Coordination with advisers on both sides
    • A closing checklist
    • Support until the agreement is signed

How we behave on every engagement

Candid assessments

We tell you early if we think a deal is unlikely to close or is not worth what you hope. It saves both of us time.

Written scope

What we will do, what you will do and how we are paid are set out in an engagement agreement before work starts.

Confidentiality

Deal information is sensitive. We are happy to sign a confidentiality agreement before you share details.

Your advisers stay in charge

Legal, tax, accounting and securities matters remain with your licensed advisers. We coordinate with them.
