Working with us
What kinds of deals do you work on?
Large B2B sales contracts, acquisitions and sales of companies or business units, and strategic partnerships such as distribution, licensing and joint ventures.
Do you replace our sales team?
No. We work alongside your leadership and sales team, adding origination capacity and negotiation experience on the deals that matter most.
What do you need from us to start?
A description of the deal, who is involved so far and the outcome you want. After the first call we may ask for supporting material such as proposals or summaries.
Will you sign a confidentiality agreement?
Yes. We are happy to sign one before you share sensitive details.
How long does an engagement take?
It depends on the deal. Some sales contracts close within a few months, while acquisitions and partnerships often take longer. We set expectations with you at the assessment stage.
Fees
How much does an engagement cost?
Advisory projects start at $20,000. Single-deal engagements start at $50,000. Full mandates for acquisitions, divestitures and multi-deal programmes run from $250,000 to $1,000,000. The exact fee depends on scope.
How is your fee calculated?
Every engagement has a fixed fee agreed up front. On deal mandates a success fee is added: a percentage of the value of the closed deal, agreed in writing before work starts.
What happens if the deal does not close?
The success fee is earned only when the deal closes. The fixed engagement fee covers the work carried out and is payable either way.
What counts as deal value?
It is defined in your engagement agreement, with the basis written down before work starts so there is no room for a later dispute.
Scope and legal
Do you give legal, tax or investment advice?
No. Terranex provides commercial consulting and deal support. Legal, tax, accounting and securities matters stay with your licensed advisers, and we coordinate with them through closing.
Do you guarantee results?
No. Every deal depends on decisions made by other parties. What we commit to is a candid assessment at the start and full effort through to signature.
